Congratulations to Randy Warnken for breaking through in his first ever SSO tournament to win the title at Century Bowl in Waterford. Randy defeated Dennis Hansen 244-228 in a tight final match. Warnken received $1,000 for his first place finish while Hansen collected $500 for second. We had 74 bowlers attempting to win their first title, which is a pretty good turnout considering the SSO now has 86 bowlers with at least one title!

During the 6-game qualifying, Mike Bosco lead the field with an impressive score of 1466. The cut to make the top 18 was 1311 by John Talon. Our extras out of the cut to move on in the elimination rounds were Darrin Greene and Jeff Heimbecker in the senior division (50+), Rick Schultz, Rick Bertrand, Peter Senf and Jamie Adams from the super senior division (60+), Gerald Little via the super super senior division (70+), and one additional lady was Traci Orler. Two of the four ladies competing made the elimination round since Amy Stolz made the top 18 with 1312.  Bruce Wright had the high game of the tournament with 290 in his second game of qualifying.

Thank you to Kurry Crayton and his great staff at Century Bowl (Spins of Waterford) for hosting the SSO. The SSO would also like to thank our staff and our sponsors; Ebonite Bowling Products, Red Robin, Beyond Boarders, Turbo 2 in 1 GripsHamtramck Singles Classic,  A.M. Total Being Fitness and Dilaura Brothers Bowling Supply for their support of our tournaments.

Our next tournament will be August 24 at 300 Bowl also in Waterford.
